What is Naturopathic Medicine?
A Philosophy more than a System
Naturopathic medicine is a commitment:
to see patients as whole people, not body parts or diseases
to teach them how to stay healthy
to trust that their bodies are powerful agents for their own healing
to use the lowest-risk medicines possible, and only when needed
to identify the true roots of illness and help patients address them
A Broad Toolkit
The healing power of touch, time, and connection
Sound advice for establishing a solid foundation for health
Nutritional guidance for well-being and specific healing
Plant medicine to support or treat as necessary
Deep, whole-person healing with constitutional homeopathy
Bodywork, movement, and other physical medicine
Appropriate pharmaceuticals as necessary
Minor in-office surgical procedures
What is Home Birth Midwifery?
Midwives are specialists in physiologic birth. We see birth as a human experience, not a medical emergency.
Birth is a sphere where it is undeniable that humans are animals; we are programmed to seek quiet, dark, calm, safe places to bring our babies into the world and most of the time, birth proceeds most smoothly when mothers are well cared-for in pregnancy and disturbed as little as possible in labor.
As a home birth midwife, I offer comprehensive prenatal care, attend deliveries in families’ homes, and provide postpartum support both in home and in office. Interested in learning more about home birth? Schedule a Discovery Call
